Residents of Centretown soon be craning their necks after city council approved several controversial condo developments in the neighbourhood on Wednesday.
City councillors rubber stamped a number of motions in their final meeting, including a 27-storey tower on Nepean Street and a 23-storey tower on Somerset Street west.
They also approved a 30-storey tower in Little Italy.
Some councillors have expressed concern about the condo boom in Ottawa and Diane Holmes called Centretown a “condo canyon,” with seven buildings jammed into such a small space.
